Kay, working as a Post-partum Doula was fantastic - it was like having my own "Mom" to care for me and my baby overnights in the hospital after my C-section and she was wonderful with baby Austen and provided helpful advice on caring for our newborn.  I remember saying that having Stacey stay overnights as a Baby Nurse was glorious because we were able to finally get the sleep we were literally desperate for.  She sleep-trained Austen in one week and having her stay an additional 5 weeks allowed us to sleep through the nights during that time and catch up on all the sleep we had missed when he was suffering from GERD. 

Denise is just plain great - punctual, consistent, on task, extremely helpful with basic house work.  She is easy going, calm, gentle, playful and nurturing with the children.  She initially cared for just Daphne and with the arrival of Austen, is able to balance the care of the two children seemingly effortlessly, even with Daphne's occasional bouts of jealousy. She is indirect, yet extremely effective in her approach to Daphne's fits of "Terrible Two's" and Daphne absolutely adores her and is always so happy and excited when Denise comes over.  Whenever someone else is over to help out (including my niece) Daphne clings to me and initially doesn't want to go with them, but when Denise comes over, Daphne is off like a shot and doesn't want to have anything to do with me!  Denise brings her own teaching tools with her and frequently spends time with Daphne teaching her basic pre-school skills which is above and beyond what I expected of her. 

Melin's Nanny skills are absolutely fantastic.  She is highly energetic, intelligent, learns quickly, is consistent and on task and she is a really great cook.  She is organized, always busy working, does housework very quickly and efficiently - she goes above and beyond with cleaning and organizing the kids clothes and toys, and is not afraid of doing dirty work like cleaning up cat barf and other gross stuff.  She is affectionate, gentle, consistent & playful with the kids, & very creative in fun ways to engage them and help them develop and grow.  She is very outdoors-ey and the kids love going on frequent outings with her.  She speaks to the children in English and Spanish which is great - this will give them a head start in developing language skills, and help them to learn Spanish later.

I just wanted you to know that Olena is AMAZING.  She fits in with our family and our beliefs on raising children perfect.  She is also so great about my crazy schedule...which changes every week.  I am grateful to have her and wouldn't feel good about going to work without her.  Thank you for setting us up with her because I think she is one in a million!
