What are some typical benefits for household staff?
Most of our families give their staff a one to two week paid vacation after 6 months to a year and 6-8 paid holidays. This is not just a job to your employee, but a career, and they are normally paid 52 weeks per year. If you’re going on an extended vacation, they can do additional tasks such as home organization, servicing vehicles, scrapbooking, spring cleaning, pet care or house sitting. How are taxes handled?
If you hire an employee to work in your home, they aren’t considered an independent contractor or an agency employee and if they are paid more than $1800 in a calendar year, you’re required to pay half of their Social Security and Medicare and you can opt to withhold state and federal taxes. What fees does your agency charge Permanent Placements?
Our fees vary depending on which service you choose would be most helpful for your family. After completing the Family Permanent Application our family placement counselor will be happy to discuss your family’s needs in detail and will discuss the fees associated with which service is chosen. After the family application is discussed and the agency contract is submitted, we begin sending you select candidates who are close matches for your home. There is a 90 day guarantee on all permanent placements.
There is no Registration Fee for Temporary Placements. Temporary Placements have an agency fee charged upon booking, depending on if the sitting takes place in a residence or resort and if 24 hour notice or more has been provided.
