Newborn Care Specialist (NCS): for those critical first few weeks or months
We know how important the safety and well being of your family and home is and we rigorously screen each of our Newborn Care Specialists. They have worked with us for years and we have placed them with multiple clients so we know them well. We will follow up with you after her assignment is complete so we can get your feedback on her.
Our Newborn Care Specialists are skilled and knowledgeable in giving loving care for infants from a few days to three months old and in addition to their extensive newborn experience, most have advanced newborn care specialist training and certifications. They can give expert advice to new parents on feeding, sleeping and breastfeeding. They come for a week or a few months until baby is sleeping through the night and they are flexible and can accommodate to your family’s needs. They work 24 hours or just nights for two to 12 weeks, or for just a few nights to let you get caught up on your sleep! We work hard to understand your unique needs and personality to find just the right match for your family. We want you to feel comfortable and confident that this person will keep your infant safe and well cared for.
Newborn Care Specialists’ compensation varies depending on their experience but on average they charge:
- $20+ per hour for singletons
- $25+ per hour for twins
- $25- $30 per hour for triplets
Doulas: there for Mom and the whole family
A birth doula is there for the birth process to ensure that you have the emotional, physical and informational support while in labor and to help you to have a memorable and empowering birth experience. A postpartum doula will support you in those first exciting and overwhelming weeks of being a mom. They help with breastfeeding, infant care, cleaning, cooking meals and filling in when mom needs a break. They provide personalized, hands on education, helping transition through the postpartum period, and care for the whole family after the birth of a baby. They work just days or overnight.
We start by taking the time to learn who you are, your personality and style so we can find the one best match for you, and exactly what you need, whether it’s a birth or postpartum doula. We will then carefully match your requirements with our doulas.
The compensation for a doula can range from $400-$1000 depending on the experience level and the situation
