NEW PART-TIME NANNY JOB WITH TWINS IN SCOTTSDALE! $18 – $20/hr! ASAP!
Scottsdale and Pinnacle Peak: This wonderful professional returning family of ours with adorable twin 5 1/2 year old girls is seeking a trustworthy, reliable nanny for a part-time schedule that is a guaranteed minimum of 20 hrs per week. The schedule will be Monday – Thursday from 3-7/8PM with occasional later evenings and every other Friday availability would be very helpful (but not mandatory). The primary and most important need is for the afternoon shift of 3-7PM M-TH since the girls attend kindergarten and need to be picked up from school, taken to music and dance lessons and cared for during their afternoon and evening routine. Some evenings they may need the nanny to stay until 9PM if there is an event to attend. Occasionally Mom needs to be at work early so if the nanny has morning availability to drop off the girls at school (rarely), that would be great. They have a casual atmosphere in their home. No pets. The parents are divorced and Mom has primary custody of their daughters during the week however Dad does live very close by (10 minutes away) and the nanny may be asked to drop off the girls at Dad’s house 1- 2 Thursday evenings a month. If both parents are traveling for work at the same time, there may be a 1 -2 night overlap where the nanny will be asked to stay overnight. (once a quarter). Mom has a pool in her townhome community for the nanny to take the girls swimming. Twins are a unique experience and the family has found that they do better with experienced caretakers. One daughter is emotionally intuitive, loves music, art classes, singing, loves people who treat her as a bigger girl, loves to share stories, be around teenagers and enjoys girly things like doing eachother’s hair. She has art and singing lessons, ballet, and joined a botanical club after school. The other daughter is the more immature of the 2, loves baby talk and has regressed emotionally because of the divorce, loves baby dolls, either hyper focused on school or wants nothing to do with it, loves barbies, projects, sewing, and she is starting the botanical club and ballet after school. Both are starting piano lessons. Both need a little extra help and encouragement at the end of a long day. They need their space and down time after school but they also need to allot 30 minutes – 1 hr each day for homework, sight words to study, etc. A nanny with an easy-going attitude, but ground in structure is ideal. Energy is important, but so is patience and remaining calm when both girls are vying for attention. Things can get a little hectic but their goal is to create a calm, consistent, comfortable environment for the girls. The nanny needs to help with homework and projects and school paperwork as well as communication with teachers. It’s important for the nanny to be proactive and take great initiative. Mom is pretty organized but needs the nanny to be consistent and respectful of the structure and routine that is set in place in the home for the girls. Ideal nanny is playful but also follows routines and structure and will work with mom to maintain a similar routine and consistency. Mom tries to be present with the kids and talk to them about things vs timeouts. Talking to them eye to eye and having open communication works best. A nanny who can balance the firmness with tenderness is ideal. Light household tasks desired: prepping dinner for the girls, chopping fruits and veggies for snacks; putting their laundry away and tidying up their bedrooms, maintaining the upkeep and cleanliness of the upstairs play area and art area downstairs, kitchen, keeping lists / stocking household items, and light errands. They have a housekeeper for the heavy cleaning. Mom gets home by 6:30PM. Nanny will be provided car seats and will be using her own vehicle and reimbursed for mileage. Compensation: $18-$20/hr.
