All Caring Nannies candidates must meet or exceed the following requirements:
2-5+ years of verifiable experience in their area of focus: childcare, household staffing etc. Most of our candidates have more!
Ability to commit to a contract period (for night nannies, NCS, and short-term nannies) or 1+ year for long-term positions.
Must be proficient in English. Bilingual is a major plus!
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and car insurance.
Are 18+ years old and a high school grad (college education preferred).
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction and committed to professional, legal pay.
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire).
Are a non-smoker.
Ability to pass an in-depth criminal background check and driving record check.

Great question! When you hire a nanny or household employee through Caring Nannies in the eyes of the IRS you’re now a household employer. While there are a few exceptions – including our temporary nannies/babysitters, night nannies and Newborn Care Specialists – your family will be responsible for paying your new employee directly, withholding taxes, paying employer taxes and more.
